Jenna Stevenson is the current Aquatics Superintendent with the City of Baytown, TX where she oversees two waterparks for the City--Calypso Cove and Pirates Bay Waterpark. These two facilities combined span across more than 4 acres and require over 400 team members to operate popular attractions such as slides, a lazy river, wave pool, Flow Rider, and the first ever Ninja Cross system in North America. During her off-season, she and her team run a frozen-ice rink for the City in Historic Downtown Baytown, TX. Jenna has spent the last 21 years in Aquatics in various positions starting as young at 15 years old when she officially became a lifeguard to emulate her older brother. She went on to accumulate more experience in positions such as swim instructor, USA swim coach, collegiate swimmer, waterfront director, aquatics program coordinator, and her current position of Aquatics Superintendent. Jenna is also an Event Director and National Safety Liaison for Swim Across America, who funds cancer research, clinical trials, and patient programs by hosting charity swims all over the US. She attributes her success in aquatics to her family who introduced her to water before she could walk, took her to swim meets at an early age, and continues to support her life-long passion. Every day, she is dedicated to keeping her waterpark team and guests safe so that she can pass on the life-long love of water to future generations.

My introduction to the aquatics field was in March of 1995 when I started out as a gate attendant and concessions clerk at our neighborhood homeowner’s association after being recruited from my high school’s swim team. From my first encounter working at swimming pools I have been committed to working in the aquatics industry and furthering my education and standing in the aquatics field. I have been fortunate enough to work at a variety of facilities in a number of locations, partly with thanks to a military parent. I hold many current certifications pertaining to aquatics, and belong to a variety of professional groups. My enthusiasm for work is partially due to work ethic, and the enjoyment of teaching and teambuilding, and partly for continuation of aquatic traditions and programs like those I personally have enjoyed through my lifetime. Currently I am employed at Port Royal Ocean Resort, and the City of Port Aransas in the Coastal Bend Area.
