Jenna Jacobs has spent the last 23 years in Aquatics in various positions starting at 15 years old when she officially became a lifeguard to emulate her older brother. She went on to accumulate more experience in positions such as swim instructor, USA swim coach, collegiate swimmer, waterfront director, aquatics program coordinator, and her current position of Aquatics Superintendent. Jenna is also an Event Director and National Safety Liaison for Swim Across America, who funds cancer research, clinical trials, and patient programs by hosting charity swims all over the US. She attributes her success in aquatics to her family who introduced her to water before she could walk, took her to swim meets at an early age, and continues to support her life-long passion. Every day, she is dedicated to keeping her waterpark team and guests safe so that she can pass on the life-long love of water to future generations.

Chris Alban, Recreation Complex Supervisor with the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department, has a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism from Colorado State University and is going on 24 years of working in the Recreation and Aquatics Industry. He carries great understanding and a great appreciation for aquatic operations and has been lucky enough to have been involved in multiple aquatic facility renovations and re-designs.

Emily has been in aquatics for over 10 years. From small town municipal pools to Grapevine, she has experience with swim lessons, lifeguard training, and special events. Emily is an active member and current President of the North Texas Aquatics Association and North Texas Guard Games Committee. She is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Water Safety Instructor Trainer. Emily loves to be around people and spend time at the pool with her husband and kids.

Brandon has been in the Aquatics Industry since 2015. He started working at Pirates Bay as an Aquatics Maintenance Operator. He was promoted to Aquatics Maintenance Supervisor in 2017-2019. He then moved to Lago Mar Lagoon in Texas City, Texas as a Lagoon Administrator and Head of Water Chemistry from there he moved up to being the Aquatics Maintenance Foreman for The Woodlands Township until August of 2022, where he accepted the Parks Service Coordinator position for Pirates Bay Waterpark in Baytown, TX.

Jamie Higuera is a graduate from Texas A&M University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She is currently the Parks & Recreation Supervisor at the City of Liberty Hill. Previously, she was the Aquatics Manager at the City of Cedar Park until August 2022. Her aquatics career began 14 years ago as a lifeguard. Since then, she has held several leadership and supervisory roles at various aquatics facilities including award-winning community recreation centers, corporate swim schools and municipalities. Higuera spent several years building the aquatics programs and the aquatics team at Cedar Park by optimizing recruiting efforts, building strong training programs, and prioritizing all forms of safety. The Cedar Park team received many awards in local and state lifeguard competitions over the years. She is now opening the City of Liberty Hill’s first swimming pool, as well as building their first Parks & Recreation Department from the ground up.

Marcello Langoni has been a dedicated member of the City of McAllen since 2012, where he discovered his passion for programming, event planning, and aquatics. His dedication and expertise led him to the role of Aquatic Superintendent in November 2021, where he took on the challenge of leading the city's Aquatic division. Recognizing the need for a collaborative network in the Rio Grande Valley, Marcello founded Aquatic Rio Grande Valley Professionals (ARGVP), a group dedicated to uniting Aquatic professionals in the region. ARGVP shares knowledge, resources, and innovative ideas to foster growth and interest in the field of aquatics across Region 6.
In addition to his work with aquatics, Marcello also contributes to the operations of the McAllen Marathon Series, McAllen Marathon, and the McAllen Holiday Parade alongside a talented team within the City of McAllen’s Parks and Recreation department. Outside of his professional life, Marcello is a devoted father to two daughters, proudly embracing the titles of Pageant Dad, Cheer Dad, and Girl Scout Troop Leader Dad. With the loving support of his wife, Judy Langoni, Marcello balances his professional and personal commitments, driven by his passion for community and family.
