Marty brings nearly two decades of leadership in parks and recreation, with a deep focus on aquatics. A graduate of Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M’s Bush School of Government and Public Service, Marty has served in key roles across Texas, including Aquatics Superintendent for The Woodlands Township and Director at HydroApps. His teams have earned top honors from Aquatics International and TPPC, and Marty himself was named Aquatic Professional of the Month by the Association of Aquatics Professionals.
Beyond his professional achievements, Marty has been a dedicated contributor to state and national organizations, including TAAF, NRPA, TRAPS, and the American Red Cross.

Chris Alban, Recreation Complex Supervisor with the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department, has a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism from Colorado State University and is going on 24 years of working in the Recreation and Aquatics Industry. He carries great understanding and a great appreciation for aquatic operations and has been lucky enough to have been involved in multiple aquatic facility renovations and re-designs.

Emily has been in aquatics for over 10 years. From small town municipal pools to Grapevine, she has experience with swim lessons, lifeguard training, and special events. Emily is an active member and current President of the North Texas Aquatics Association and North Texas Guard Games Committee. She is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer and Water Safety Instructor Trainer. Emily loves to be around people and spend time at the pool with her husband and kids.

Kellie has worked in the aquatics industry since 2012. She began her career at the Keller Pointe, where she worked as a head lifeguard, swim instructor and lifeguard instructor. She later became the Aquatic Coordinator for the City of Grand Prairie, where she worked full-time managing aquatic programming and facility operations. Her responsibilities included overseeing their TAAF swim team program, managing their aquatic facilities, and supervising part-time aquatics staff. Kellie currently works for the City of Greenville as the Aquatics Supervisor at the Sports Park Center

Jessica has been in the Aquatics industry since 2005. Jessica started lifeguarding at 15 and kept around the aquatic's world. She started working and then promoted to Aquatics Manager at the Dallas Country Club. Jessica then got her instructor certifications and took a job as Aquatics Director for United Pools in Roswell, NM in 2019. She then moved to Sulphur, LA and took on the Aquatic Supervisor for Sulphur Parks and Recreation. Jessica decided to return back to Texas and took on Aquatic & Special Events Supervisor for the City of College Station in 2023.

Garrett's career (and life) has been shaped by a love of all things water! From swimming his first competitive swim race at the age of 5 and continuing to do so all through school, to becoming a lifeguard early and holding that certification for over 13 years, to now operating, managing, and programming a variety of aquatic facilities, events, and teams! With his truest of aquatics passions being Lifeguard and staff training/development and emergency preparedness, Garrett holds certifications as an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor, CPO, CPRP, and is currently working to become a certified EMT! Away from the pool deck you'll find him enjoying a quiet camping trip or enjoying a good movie, book, and a game of golf or pickleball with his fiancé, cats, and friends.

Michelle is the Aquatic Manager for Sonterra Municipal Utility District in Jarrell, Texas. Before stepping into this role, she served as the Aquatic Supervisor for the City of Round Rock, TX, for seven years and as the Program Coordinator for the City of Gainesville, Florida, for five years. With a comprehensive background in aquatics, she brings expertise in training, programming, management, facility operations, and leadership.
Throughout her career, Michelle has led and mentored teams in Texas State Lifeguard Competitions, helped develop new innovative programs, and fostered a strong team culture within her workplace. Her passion for aquatics extends beyond recreation—it serves as a crucial platform for water safety education, health and wellness promotion, and community engagement.
Michelle earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Texas State University. She is a Certified Pool Operator, a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, and a Water Safety Instructor Trainer through the American Red Cross. Additionally, she contributes to the aquatics community as the President for the Central Texas Aquatic Association (CTAA).
