Submitting an Article

Thank you for you interest in submitting an article for Texas Public Pool Council. We have three issues to produce in 2005, and we are trying to plan in advance for production of the newsletter. Below, you will find deadlines and submission information. If you have any questions, please contact TPPC at info@tppc.org.

Feature Article Guidelines
These guidelines are for feature articles, and there are normally four to five feature articles per issue. When submitting a feature article, please include the following:

• Softcopy of the article (Microsoft Word document)
• Any artwork you feel would enhance the article (images should be submitted as either high resolution, JPG or TIF file—at least 150 pixels per inch).
• Picture of yourself (images should be submitted as either high resolution, JPG or TIF file—at least 150 pixels per inch).
• Brief bio, including experience, job title, and current employer.

The following are guidelines for the article:

• Microsoft Word document
• 1000 to 1500 words (approximately three to four pages of double-spaced text in 12-point Times New Roman)

Updates or Running Article Guidelines
These guidelines are for updates (for example, American Red Cross) or running articles
(for example, Controller Concepts) that appear in each issue of From the Stand. When submitting an update or running article, please include the following:

• Soft copy of the article (Microsoft Word document)
• Any artwork you feel would enhance the article (images should be submitted as either high resolution, JPG or TIF file—at least 150 pixels per inch).
• Picture of yourself (images should be submitted as either high resolution, JPG or TIF file—at least 150 pixels per inch).
• Brief bio, including experience, job title, and current employer.

The following are guidelines for the article:

• Microsoft Word document
• 300 to 500 words (approximately one page of double-spaced text in 12-point Times New Roman)
