Head Swim Coach

Description: Under general supervision,
manages swim team practices, meets and staffing, and
is responsible for record keeping of all meets and reporting
scores in a timely manner. This candidate also enforces
all rules and regulations pertaining to the safety and
well-being of program participants, and performs related
work as required. This position reports to Head Swim
Coach and Aquatics Director.
Qualifications: Attend all practices and meets
throughout the summer season.
Provide corrective feedback and proper stroke technique.
Maintain structure and discipline within a group setting,
while encouraging and promoting student participation
in a positive manner.
Maintain certain records and reports as required.
The ability to speak English clearly and understandably.
Perform related duties as required.
Deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
with all aquatic employees, and Founder’s Pool guests.
Manage all meets via coordination of volunteers.
Form/establish new Hill Country Summer Swim League.
Trainign & Experience: Must possess
current ARC Water Safety Instruction or equivalent training
and/or experience, and CPR/AED. Must have extensive
swim team management and coaching experience. Must have
or be able to obtain Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
within 2 months of hire date.
Physical Requirements: Must be at least
18 years of age and able to lift up to 50 lbs. and react
quickly to emergencies.
